Naughty is how Blythe Beck, Celebrity Chef, and UNT alum, will convey how she likes to
cook, while authors, Florence Ridlon and Bob Wheeler will describe how they helped
return Jim Thorpe’s Olympic honors. Tenacious is how Burlyce Logan, one of UNTs
first black students, will label her lifes journey while UNT Jazz professor, Richard
DeRosa, dishes about musical celebrities with whom he has worked. Guests at Great
Conversations 2012, the signature event of the UNT Honors College, will find the
conversations varied - from the outrageous to the cerebral but fun, always fun!
This event is the signature annual fundraising event for the Honors College, benefiting
the programming and scholarship funds of the College. The concept is one of a dinner
party, but instead of one table, there will be 35 to 40 tables in the UNT Gateway
Ballroom, each with a host or Conversation Leader. Guests at each table will have
signed up to sit at a particular table with a specific Conversation Leader. Details: 940-565-2474 or www.honors.unt.edu/greatconversations
