UNT Libraries, along with Friends of the UNT Libraries, invite you to view one-of-a-kind
works of art realized in the form of books. Artists submissions will be on display in
the Willis Library Forum as part of the fourth Artists' Books Competition and Exhibition,
and the reception will feature refreshments and remarks on the competition and its entries.
All accepted entries are eligible for a purchase prize of $400 that is granted at the
discretion of the judges. If an entry is selected for the purchase prize, the entry will
become a permanent addition to UNT's Rare Book collection. Artists' books date to the
early medieval period and may be created with handwritten texts that are merged with
illustrations, fabric covers, scrolls, fold-out content or loose items contained in a box.
These books may or may not have content that can be read, and may be produced as
one-of-a-kind objects. The Exhibit will be available for viewing in the Willis Library
Forum throughout the Spring Semester, 2012. For details: 940-565-2486 or
