The UNT Kristin Farmer Autism Center hosts an annual conference entitled, “Adventures in Autism Intervention and Research,” for professionals and parents interested in learning about cutting edge developments in autism. This year, the event will take pla
ce on Saturday, July 27th, at the UNT Business Leadership Building. For the first time, we will include a benefit rock concert immediately following the concert, to help raise money for scholarships for services at the autism center.

Monday – Friday 8 a.m. to 12 noon. Drop off begins at 7:30 am and pickup by 12:30 p.m. unless other arrangements have been made. All camp sessions have a maximum enrollment of 25 campers
Discovery Camp – For campers needing a full day experience we offer an afternoon session that is less about science and more about recreation, arts and crafts. Discovery camp runs from 12 noon to 6 p.m. Discovery camp has only one session per week with a maximum enrollment of 40 campers.
Camp registration will begin online and in person on March 18, 2013. Camp reservations are first come first serve so register as early as possible to secure your spot. 50% payment must be received 30 days prior to the beginning of each camp session or your spot will go to the first camper on the waiting list.

Simply Machines – Rediscover the technology that allowed ancient cultures to build pyramids, castles, ships that could cross oceans and the weapons used to destroy them all. Discover how modern engineers use the lever, wheel and inclined plane to build more efficient, faster and complex machines. $100

X-Stream Adventure - Take the next step towards becoming a real scientist. Discover the wonders of working in the field, collecting data while standing ankle deep in mud, or using high tech instruments to make scientific observations. Local organization dedicated to reaching out to indie and self-published writers to help them find ideas on marketing and promotion, and implementing networking strategies that all writers can implement. Including, traditionally, multi-published authors.
LexiCon provides a forum for writers, agents, publishers and writers organizations and helps writers build the networks they need by creating a community of writers online and off.

Learn the basics of stained glass using the Tiffany or copperfoil method. In this 6-week class students will make a small suncatcher and construct a small glass panel. Learn how to cut glass, solder metals, and build a simple metal frame for the panel. Ch
aracteristics of glass will also be discussed. Most tools are provided, but the student will need to purchase supplies for the small glass panel. Glass supplies are available at the studio.
