New Book Club for Adults
Are you all grownup but still love reading young adult books? Join other adult fans of YA literature at the Amazing YA Book Club on Tuesday, August 7 at 7:00 p.m. at the Emily Fowler Central Library, 502 Oakland Street. We will
kick off this book club with a discussion of The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Which characters were your favorites, what did you like and dislike about the series, and how does the movie compare to the book? May the odds be ever in your favor! This is a new program, funded by Dallas Cowboy Bradie James' Foundation 56. Its purpose is to address the neeeds of women in any stage of cancer diagnoisis/recovery through the healing practice of yoga in a supportive and nurturing environment. s and organizations hold in-house exhibitions featuring artworkthat was created outside of working hours by their employees, Winners in each of elevencategories such as painting, black and white photography and sculpture, are selected by artsexperts who act as jurors. In addition, the jurors select a Best of Show winner. Employees areasked to vote for a “People’s Choice” awardee.
Works that have been awarded a First Prize and Best of Show in each category are selected tomove on to the regional exhibit, where the best artworks from all of the companies involved areexhibited together at NorthPark Center during September 2012.
