Join us for music and art fun at A Creative Art STUDIO. on June 1, 2012 from 7 to 9 pm. This month Darrin Kobetich returns to the studio with his incredible style of music. If you haven't heard him and his guitar, you are really in for a treat. Darrin is
a Texas based solo acoustic guitar master and his new album has recently been released. We will have our ATCs (artist trading cards- Make one and trade with a friend), our community art project and art demonstrations. Meet the author, Megan Foote and see her new book. We will also had our children's art show on exhibit. Grab a friend and come join the fun!

Since its inception, nine painters have gone... on to work on or receive their MFA Degrees. Four graduates are now teaching on a university level. In 2010, 15 pai
nters took part in the "Niigata International Watercolor Exhibition" in Japan. Students in the program are encouraged to find their own direction, whether that be as a traditional painter or someone who takes the medium of watercolor into new and exciting territory. This exhibition is dedicated to graduate watercolor painter, Lisa Tseng (1983 –2012).

At Emily Fowler Central Library from June 01, 2012 to June 01, 2012 - Hosted by City of Denton Library - Festivals/Events - DetailsDCT is hosting a playwriting competition for new one-act plays. In conjunction with Mental Health Month, plays will focus on imagination, the human condition, and/or mental health issues. Prizes will be awarded to the top 5 plays. First
place will receive $2000, second place will receive $1000, third place will receive $500, fourth place will receive $300 and fifth place will receive $200.
In addition to pize money , the winning plays will be produced as staged readings at the festival May 31 - June 2, 2012 at the POINTBank Black Box Theatre.
The Festival will also feature workshops and discussion panels after each production. Experts from the mental health and theatre fields will participate
