Elvis on the Square, 2012, Benefiting the Denton County Kiwanis Children's Clinic, and the good people of Denton and North Texas. EOTS is an event comprised of two parts: a FREE Elvis Tribute Concert on the Denton Courthouse Lawn and surrounding square, a
nd a $35 ticket holder only show at Dan's Silver Leaf featuring RiversWest and a 1968-styled Elvis Tribute. The dinner show includes appetizers, dinner, desert, and access to the pre-show "green room" for more food, beer, and wine. Ticket holders also get access to "Elvis" for photos in the green room. Restaurant contributors include Fuzzy's, Rooster's, Beth Marie's, Cartwright's, Sweetwater, and more from the Industrial Street Guild and Downtown Denton. Have you registered to vote? Here's a great opportunity to make sure your voice is heard in elections. Voter registration drives will be held may 19 and 26, 2012, from 1-4pm atthe Golden Triangle Mall, located at 2201 Interstate 35E in Denton, TX. Deputy Voter Registrars will be on hand to register voters in Denton County.

A car show benefiting Combat Tracker Teams will be held at 212 E. Hickory, Denton, Tx. on May 19, 2012 from 10am to 4pm. Pearls of Shalom Ministries presents: "In His Presence" Women's Conference 2012 This is a Non-Denominational event. Registration is FREE but attendees are encouraged to register because we are providing free morning refreshments, door prizes and surprises. We will break for lunch. The Denton Community Market is every Saturday May – October, 9am – sellout. The market is local art and produce market located @ Carroll Blvd. and Mulberry St. near downtown Denton, Texas. We are a community gathering space alive with music, local food and produce, locally produced handmade arts and crafts, on-site food, local business, community groups and more! We encourage you to come to any of our market days. Our 2012 market season begins on Saturday, May 5th and continues through October 27th. We are now accepting vendor applications for the 2012 season.

The Hedrick Exotic Animal Petting Zoo will be in Northeast Texas during the month of May. The company provides petting zoo animals at the Texas State Fair every year and they will be at Smith Brothers comples on Highway 35 in Denton from May 16-20. Hours for all displays will be 10am "til dark. General admission is $1.00 per person. Local schools have been invited to participate for free by scheduling field trips on Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Firdays. Also, military and law enforcement (proper I.D.) are welcome as free guests.
