DCTA Invites the Community to “Rail Ready” Presentation to Promote Rail Safety
Denton, TX - As part of the Denton County Transportation Authority’s rail safety efforts, DCTA is holding a free community-wide “Rail Ready” safety presentation on Thursday,
May 17th. DCTA staff will hold two presentations simultaneously; one for adults and one for children. The presentations will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Downtown Denton Transit Center which is located at 604 E. Hickory in Denton.
The “Rail Ready” presentation is based on Operation Lifesaver, a national rail safety program. This rail safety message focuses on staying off the tracks and teaching community members to “Look, Listen & Live.” DCTA staff will educate audience members the importance of paying extra attention around rail corridors and the dangers of trespassing.
