At Rockin Rodeo from May 10, 2012 to May 10, 2012 - Hosted by Rockin' Rodeo - Live Music/Concerts - DetailsDo you want to learn about some easy ways to save money this summer? The City of Denton’s Sustainability Department is hosting two upcoming educational series workshops to help residents learn how to save money this summer.
On April 19, the department
will host “Going Native,” a workshop with tips about how, and what, to plant in this region. Plants that are native to our region are more heat- and drought-tolerant, therefore saving you time, money, and water. For those of you who lost landscaping due to last summer’s drought, this is a perfect time to rethink your yard and make it work for you!
On May 10, the department will partner with the Denton County Transit Authority (DCTA) to host a workshop titled “Denton Public Transit.” With gas prices soaring and with public transportation available now more than ever before, the City knows that many people are interested in trying public transportation – but are unsure about where or how to get started. This workshop will guide residents to that starting point and answer any questions about using the DCTA system.
Attend either or both of these FREE workshops to learn how you can save money this summer, while helping the environment. Both workshops will be held at the Denton Civic Center.
• Going Native – April 19 at 6:30 p.m. • Denton Public Transit – May 10 at 6:30 p.m.
