In the small Jewish village of Anatevka, Russia in 1905 – What’s a father to do? Passion sears through this tale of family devotion and human tribulation. A poor dairyman, Tevye converses with GOD. Spring Open House weekend is May 5 and 6 in downtown Denton.  Many shops will be open exended hours and will be offering specials to their clients, such as refreshments, discounts, and drawings for prizes.  DMSA will also be hosting a fashion show around the lunch hour on Saturday afternoon on the Courthouse grounds.  This is an eye-catching, entertaining way to give shoppers an impression of what Downtown businesses have to offer.  Apparel, shoes, jewelry and accessories modeled in the show will come from various shops participating in the Open House weekend.  This year look out for "check-in" promotions during Spring Open House.  Businesses may offer to enroll people for a drawing if they check-in on Foursquare, Facebook, or any of the other social sites.  And the more places at which a shopper checks-in, the more chances the person has to win a prize.  For more details as the date approaches, please visit www.dentonmainstreet.org
